山西古城张壁

壁古堡位于山西省介休市绵山北麓，毗邻平遥古城、王家大院、绵山风景区。古堡南北244米，东西374米，面积约10万平方米。作为典型的军事古镇，古堡内明堡暗道，机关密布，层层设防，诡谜奇绝。目前已发现的古地道1万余米，更为奇特的是这个神秘古堡从堡墙到堡内各种建造物，处处和星座对应，其构思之严密、建造之奇特，是十分稀缺的古代军事文化和星相文化的实物遗存。关于古堡的建造年代，多数专家推定为南北朝时期，而古堡北侧发现的仰韶、龙山文化遗址，又将这里的历史上溯到了6500年前。 Zhangbi Ancient castle is located close to Jiexiu City in Shanxi province, at the northern foot of Mian Mountain, near Pingyao Ancient City, the Wang’s Family Courtyard and Mian Mountain Scenic Area. From north to south the Castle is 244 meters long, while from east to west it is 374 meters long, covering a total area of 100.000 square meters. Zhangbi is a classic military fortress combining a bright castle with a dark tunnel. The fortress was once densely covered with military mechanisms, layer upon layer of fortifications and many surreptitious wonders. At preset more than 10.000 meters of the ancient tunnel system have been discovered. Moreover, the mysterious ancient castle contains many architectural treasures, form the fortress wall surrounding the castle to the various structures within it. In every location there are astronomical correlations reflected in the complex composition and architectural features of the village. Zhangbi thereby remains as a rare material telic of China’s ancient military history and astronomical culture. Regarding the ancient castle’s construction period, many specialists date the formation to the Northern and Southern dynasties (420-589) period. However, similarly to the archaeological sites of Yangshao in Henan Province and Longshan in Shandong Province, porcelain has been found to the north of the castle which traces back to 6500 years ago.

The Jin Dynasty (1115-1234) tomb is an ancient testimony to the historic mingling of ethnic groups in the area. To this day the ancient castle continues to preserve over twenty luxurious Ming （1368-1644）and Qing (1644-1911) Dynasty courtyard houses, which tell of the glorious former times for Shanxi merchant. In recent years Zhangbi Castle has infatuated specialists with proving historic points, tourists have ardently explored its secrets and Zhangbi has received many praises from both domestic and foreign visitors an a scenic spot for historical and cultural tourism.
